Privacy policy

How your contraction history is stored and shared.

Effective July 22, 2026

Your data stays on your devices

Contraction sessions, times, notes, preferences, and reminder settings are stored locally on your devices. Contractions does not store this information in CloudKit or on a developer-operated server.

Direct paired-device sync

When you use the Apple Watch companion, your paired iPhone and Apple Watch can exchange app data directly with Apple's WatchConnectivity technology. This is used only to keep the two local app stores aligned.

No accounts, ads, or tracking

Contractions does not require an account and does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking. The developer does not collect your contraction history. Reminder notifications are scheduled locally on your iPhone.

Exports and sharing

PDF or CSV files are created only when you choose to export a session. You decide where to send or save them through Apple's share sheet. Once shared, the recipient or selected service controls that copy.

Medical information

Contractions is a timing and record-keeping tool. It does not diagnose labor, provide medical advice, or replace your care team or emergency services.

Questions or changes
